Still slow Joe. There have been a few whites caught and an occasional walleye, but the sheephead are still the dominant catch. Soon...

Planning on fishing this area for the first time. Looking for a good boat launch and a place to by leeches. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I drove through my hometown for Christmas and yes the river is wide open as far south as one can see to the gun club from the Bridge.  I can't say for what is around the bend towards Butte Des Morts though.  As for the docks....  almost every dock in the river is a permanent dock.  Hope this helps.

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Partly Sunny
Was up there Friday and Saturday. Friday about noon sun came out and wind started to howl hurting fishing. Friday morning before wind caught 3 largemouth, 2- 3# and 1 at 2#, 2 1/2 pound Walleye, 2# white bass, 1 small smallmouth and lost a large northern. Drag to loose. Friday afternoon and Saturday it was to windy on the lakes so we stayed in channels and by the bridge. Ended up with about 75 white bass, 1 northern and 1 Walleye. White bass were om the smaller side (10-12")
