Yesterday, 5/8/14 was warmer. WINNECONNE. The walleye has slowed considerably and the White Bass run has not really started. 50+ poles hanging from the bridge and not much room for any more people. Boats were on both sides of the bridge. Not much being caught. One guy had a nice walleye on the bridge but could not pull it up and the fish broke loose. The people on the shores were not having any success from what I saw and heard. Many boats also returned empty but had a nice day. It could be another week or so due to the cold winter we had.

Still slow Joe. There have been a few whites caught and an occasional walleye, but the sheephead are still the dominant catch. Soon...

River is wide open, with small floaties (ice). Landing is open at the fin nothing bit on my flys tipped with shinners. Spent about an hour it was nice to get the boat out...

I drove through my hometown for Christmas and yes the river is wide open as far south as one can see to the gun club from the Bridge.  I can't say for what is around the bend towards Butte Des Morts though.  As for the docks....  almost every dock in the river is a permanent dock.  Hope this helps.
